MOB ADJACENT is the story of an ordinary family's extraordinary life under the protection of the infamous Chicago Outfit. Based on their true story, brothers Jeffrey and Michael Gentile, Jr. discovered a parallel world hidden behind their suburban façade. In their world, mobsters came to dinner; thieves delivered bounty off the backs of trucks; and sometimes men with badges knocked on the front door. For the Gentile brothers, normal was what happened every day. 

Their father, Mike Gentile, Sr., had lots of friends. Many came from Chicago's Little Italy. Some worked for the crime syndicate known as the Outfit. Some found high-wage patronage jobs. They weren’t hoodlums and gangsters – just nice guys who brought fat envelopes to weddings, graduations, and funerals. 

Step into their world with a new film from actor and film maker Gino Cafarelli. When Mike needs help saving his reckless son from prison, he turns to Sam Giancana to move the wheels of justice in the right direction.

Gino Cafarelli was born and raised in Queens, N.Y. Most recently seen in TERRIFIER and TERRIFIER 2, he also appeared in PAM & TOMMY and had a recurring role in season two of GODFATHER OF HARLEM. His recent films include CAPONE, BAD EDUCATION, THE GOOD SHEPHERD, JERSEY BRED, and THE IRISHMAN.

Gino was discovered by writer/director Robert Siegel. His performance opposite Patton Oswalt in BIG FAN received critical acclaim, premiering at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival in U.S. Dramatic Competition. The film was later nominated for a Gotham Award, as well as an Independent Spirit Award. 

Cafarelli re-teamed with Robert Siegel CRUISE, inspired by the short story Franny Lew. Written and directed by Gino, he had a supporting role and served as Executive Producer. His TV credits include THE EQUALIZER, BLUE BLOODS, RAY DONOVAN, HAPPY, BLINDSPOT, BOARDWALK EMPIRE, NURSE JACKIE, DEXTER, and CASTLE. 

Gino also directed and produced the short film BRICKLAYER'S POET, which won the audience award at VISIONFEST. His first children's book, Athena Visits the Marina is in bookstores now.
